It’s warm in St. Charles Missouri during the summer. In fact, sometimes it can be downright hot. The best thing to do when it is hot is to embrace the heat, and allow it to kindle romance. With this in mind, our historic St. Charles Missouri inn has created a “Romancing the Stone” special package.
Romancing the Stone will provide a bouquet of red roses in your room, along with a bottle of Rioja – Spanish red wine. Enjoy the wine before, after or during your Spanish Bath, drawn for you and infused with Spanish bath salts. When you are ready for it, a silver tray laden with breads, fruits and gourmet cheeses will be brought to your room, along with a selection of Spanish music to set the mood.
Three-foot thick stone walls dating from circa 1820 have been preserved in parts of the inn, which help create a very special ambiance and old world charm. It reminds us of old world Spain, and we invite you to experience it with Tapas for Two in the gourmet stone kitchen. Sip delicious Spanish wine as you sample appetizers, and then enjoy a ride on a horse drawn carriage through the Historic district. After that, the night is yours, and yours alone.
